You have my sympathies, too. My mother was an alcoholic. Fortunately (and I am sorry if that word sounds harsh or cruel) she died a few months before my first son was born. I was relieved. It meant I never had to take that difficult stance of refusing her any contact with a child of mine. Hoping for a more positive outcome for you. Keep writing. A🙏💚
