Years ago, I put a sign by my computer reminding me not to buy anything online without first checking in to make sure I was not using online shopping to distract myself from some emotion. It helped me see how often I used the internet, especially shopping, to distract myself from realities and truths. I learnt to sit with them and gently reflect then process them. Great post, Charles.
