When we moved to a dead end road of 30 properties in Cornwall, we were welcomed. They had monthly coffee morning for the women although most of the men did not know each other. I introduced the idea of drinks parties, where everyone had to bring their own drink and glass (thus making it super easy for anyone to host without expense.) It was an idea that was embraced (eventually!) and there was a much better sense of community by the time we left.

I am still grateful for the time in my life when I could not afford to get repairmen in. I made a ton of mistakes but i learnt so much and handle most of the home repairs myself. A🙏💚
