What a lovely story, Amanda. I much prefer kitchen aids that aren't electrical, that can't break. I still prefer to wash up by hand than use a dishwasher (more meditative), and I love to sweep with an old-fashioned broom. I have never heard of a pastry blender, but I will look into this. My favourite recipe using mashed bananas DOES alas use an electric blender (sigh) but it is worth it:
INGREDIENTS
● 1/2 cup pure water or organic green or white tea (cooled)
● 1/2 cup lite coconut milk
● 1 scoop high quality collagen peptides

● 1 tsp maca root* powder (gelatinized)
● 1 Tbsp ground flaxseeds
● 1/2 Tbsp MCT oil
● 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
● 1/2 cup frozen banana chunks
● 1 small handful fresh mint
● 1 large handful fresh organic baby greens (spinach, kale, swiss chard, etc.)
● Juice of 1/2 lime or lemon
● 1 pinch Himalayan sea salt (optional)
● Ice (optional
