Well this resonates! Actually, the whole article does. Of course. I struggled after my autism diagnosis to work out who i really was underneath all the masking and camouflaging that I had been doing (without realising). I found a therapist specialising in adult female autism and she really helped me. I'm just going to share the one that helped me the most. She taught me that I was being my authentic self when I was feeling a sense of:
Connectedness (to another or the universe)
Confidence
Calmness
Curiosity
Creativity
Compassion (including to self)
Clarity
Courage
This really helped me. It made perfect sense that I felt at my best when I was being creative.
