Well now, that has just sent me down a rabbit hole. Just when I thought my American was improving. I have learnt to to offer translations. Look: jumper = sweater; biscuit=cookie; chips= french fries; crisps = chips. It is frigging minefield.

But I have just spent the best part of half a hour scouring Google for what Americans call aftersun lotion. No luck. I just keep getting sunscreen (NOT THE SAME). The only conclusion i can draw is that all Americans are better at applying sunscreen and never need aftersun. British people on the other hand . . .
