TOTALLY TRUE, APART FROM THE BIT THAT VERY OBVIOUSLY ISN’T

I am writing this story on behalf of a friend. It is obviously a friend because ingesting psilocybin, even if you are micro-dosing, is illegal in the UK.

So this isn’t about me.

It wasn’t me that decided to grow my own magic mushrooms.

It wasn’t me that decided to dry them in a Ninja air fryer.

And it definitely wasn’t me that had trouble working out how to get the micro-dosing right. My friend has trouble with weights and units. Her scales don’t measure less than 1g, and she needed 0.2 g for her micro-dosing experiment.

She wasn’t sure if the 0.2g should relate to fresh or dried mushrooms. So she guessed.

And then she guessed that 0.2g would be roughly half of what 1g worth of magic mushrooms weigh on some not very precise scales. Because she is terrible at maths.

I came, I wrote, I conquered. That last bit might not be true, but at least I am putting up a good fight.
