Carolla and Asif: our next-door neighbours
Roger: my husband

The Asif’s next door sent an apologetic email explaining that all the noise (very loud banging for a very long time) was to do with lifting the shower room floor to move a washbasin and it was proving more difficult than they could have imagined. Roger emailed:

Hello Carola

I’m glad you cleared up yesterday’s noise because I was beginning to suspect that Asif was burying his money and I wouldn’t be able to find it

Carola responded:
