This is such a tricky subject Lee and I am sure your words will resonate with many. My approach is the same as yours; i am here, in part, for the wonderful connections. Like you, I have found a way to draw money to me rather than chase it. But I think 150 is probably the upper limit of followers i could actively engage with (not there yet thank goodness). What if I was a brilliant writer, who wanted to write and make money? In theory the number of people commenting could climb above my capacity to engage and respond. The writers on here with tens of thousands of followers don't respond. It would be impossible for them - simply not enough hours in the day. It doesn't stop me reading and enjoying their work, but I have learnt not to bother commenting.
If it ever reaches that stage, i am not sure what i would do. Hire a secretary to reply on my behalf? Who knows.
Lovely photo of you and your sister, and I love how you responded to Larry on the radio show.
