Thanks Nat. I find it hard (and exhausting) to manage regular contact. I sometimes think you must have more hours in the day than I do. I honestly don't know how you do it, alongside LIFE and all the wonderful responses you leave here on Medium. Friendship (female friends) has been a lifelong issue for me because of the autism. My diagnosis has helped me understand and be kinder to myself on that front. If any of your friends are autistic, do know that they probably DO want to reach out to you but don't know how to, and have probably got it wrong so many times that they have given up trying. I find it hard to tell the difference between true and fake friends. I was shocked when I moved away from London that many of those I considered friends dropped me as soon as they no longer had a free place to stay in London. I also get exhausted by too much real-life contact. I pick up on other people's stuff and then need lots of alone time to clear it. Online friendships are so much easier for me💚💗💝
