Thanks, Maria. We don't have Medicare here. Dentistry in the UK is free for those under 18, and if you can find an NHS dentist, the cost of a crown would be £319.50. I had an NHS dentist until he retired two years ago. I would travel from Cornwall to London to see him! But when we moved here I made the decision to NOT try to find an NHS dentist because there is such a shortage and there are people more in need than I am. But yes, I, too, was shocked at the cost. I keep telling myself that the most important thing we can spend money on is our health. And at least all medical treatment here is free. It saddens me that there are places in the world where that is not true, and people miss out on treatment because of lack of funds.A💚💚💚
