Thank you so much for all of your lovely comments and understanding. I love it when you ramble. I totally agree about it being good that times have changed but appalling that there is such a lack of respect for teachers now. We should all be in awe of teachers. I would put them above doctors in terms of where society should be placing their admiration. What shocks me is that parents will often stand with their children against teachers. My sister works in a school (and Roger was a teacher) and I am shocked by so many of the stories. Some parents seem hell bent on making sure their children grow up with an inflated sense of entitlement.

Thank goodness it is a minority. Thank goodness there are still lots of wonderful parents and children out there. Like you and yours.
