Terry Pottinger and Natalie have already said everything I came here to try and put into words. It is hard to know what to add when they have so eloquently expressed what is in my heart. Your father is broken, and you cannot help him. You can only protect and nurture yourself. You have gone beyond that in writing this: you have shared something that has the capacity to reach and help others similarly struggling. You have courage, wisdom, heart and compassion.
