Such a lovely story, Nat. I especially applaud your son for managing to work part-time as well as studying. Mine had to do the same and it stood them in such good stead - it looked good on their CVs and they got better job offers than their wealthier peers when it came to finding work. I smiled at the line about the phone call - i only have boys and was shocked to hear from friends how much girls chatted in comparison. When my were the age of yours, I was lucky if I got a text!
