Someone Put a Curse on Me
And I Didn’t Find Out for Years
There is an old Turkish curse I need to share with you.
I learnt about it some time ago and was shocked to find that I had been on the receiving end of it. I bet you have been, too. It is also possible you have cursed someone else without knowing it.
Before I share it, you need to read this joke. The curse will make no sense if you skip this.
A man called Robin dies and finds himself in the most beautiful paradise. He is greeted by an elderly man with grey hair and beard, wearing flowing white robes. Robin had always imagined that God would look like this. God tells him he can wish for anything beautiful, and every wish will be immediately granted. Robin cannot believe he has made it into Heaven and is overjoyed.
He wishes for a mansion, and it appears. He wishes for an infinity pool and a Ferrari. They instantly appear. He wishes for fine clothes, jewellery and then a fleet of luxury cars. Everything he has ever desired appears on his request.
After a day or two, Robin decides he is bored by himself and wants to share his good fortune and wealth, so he wishes for a beautiful woman to join him. The most stunning woman appears. She is everything he hoped for. She has a perfect…
