OMG. This is such an incredible story. It deserves to be boosted. I cannot believe you haven't got more reads. It is SO deserving. The start reminded me of War Horse, which I have seen live on stage twice. I cannot imagine the heartbreak of seeing beloved animals shipped off to near-certain death. This is the best read I've had in ages. What a man your grandfather was. What a life he lived. It feels as if there is a book in this story. I hope you write it. I would want to read it.
