Oh Terry, I have found my way here via Benighted's story on Continuing Bonds and I am so grateful to him. Your story is so deeply touching, and I too shall "see" those like Bobby differently now. Your love for him, and his for you, is palpable throughout. My heart aches for what you have been through. The grief that a parent (and you were his parent) experiences over the loss of a child is perhaps the deepest grief because it goes against the natural order of things.

I hope that all those who are suffering in a similar way find their way to your writing and feel healed by it.
