Lived experience is the best teacher. The farmers I know would be horrified at the idea of a Border Collie being in the house. They only ever keep them outside. Roger got a border collie. She is the same as the one you are looking after. Love your "rinse and repeat" line. Roger's is the same. Fortunately i can sleep through anything including R's snoring 😂.They have super sensitive hearing - only tip i can give you is to make sure you stop as much noise as possible - close doors so they are less likely to hear outside noises.
