This may surprise you and i hope we will still be friends: I don't believe in Karma - i read that it was devised by the Brahmins (upper class) to keep the lower castes under control. This felt true to me, in a way I can't quite explain. It is exactly the sort of thing upper class teachers and priests might do: try to control the poor and make them think it is their own fault they are in the situation they are in so that they continue to serve the upper classes without complaint.

I DO believe that the more we give out, the more we get back; that the more we are kind to others the happier we ourselves will be.

But Karma. Nope.
