It is very rare in the UK for anyone to give a negative or honest response to a "How are you?" question. But if they do, I have found that saying: "Oh good, at least you are being honest" tends to stop them in their tracks long enough for me to move away . . .Unless, of course, I care, in which case I might follow up with: "What are you going to do about it?"💚
