It has been over 41 years since the birth of my first son, Nat, and you brought the memories flooding back. Thank you for that. You are so right that the word "love" is too woolly to adequately convey the full force of the feeling that washes through you when a newborn is placed skin to skin when you first nurse. when you first have an eye-to-eye contact.
