I think we choose everything, parents included, before coming to earth. Do you know that Rumi quote? "Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, There is a field. I'll meet you there."

That is the place I know I'm going when I die. And I know I shall be laughing. And people I know will be there in some form. And we will laugh together. And feel an incredible sense of love and connectedness. And there will be no sense of right or wrong. Just love.

The only death that has ever made me cry was when my first dog died, and that was a selfish sort of grief - to do with the hole that was left, and the loss of routine that shaped my day.

I couldn't write all this to many people, but I know you will get it . ..

Of course, some days I forget everything I know and get caught up feeling other people's feelings.

But you, my friend, make everything clearer. Like the most wonderful clear light that shines and heals and brings warmth and joy. A💚💚💚

I came, I wrote, I conquered. That last bit might not be true, but at least I am putting up a good fight.
