I confess I do go to a supermarket about once a month but not for meat or fresh veg. That comes from the farmer who will tell me the name of the pig or sheep. It costs more but the farmers deserve more. I DO however, consider myself very fortunate to be able to afford to pay more, and realise that not everyone is in that position. Can I come to visit if you get the place in Lombardy? I'm quite handy with a spade.
