I think this may be true in all fields and endeavours.

I see, in this lovely essay, a few parallels with writing—we send our words out and have no idea if or how they will affect the reader. This, I think, is the real magic of Medium: that we can get instant feedback and that we don't feel as if we are writing into a void. 🙏
