I think most people with autism are introverts with the emphasis on "think". By no means all are. It's back to that line: when you have met one autistic person, you have met one autistic person. I am not surprised you got me wrong. I got me wrong for nearly 60 years. It was only COVID lockdowns that made me realise. I thrived (as did a lot of autistic people). When restrictions were lifted and we had the first phone call from someone i love wanting to come to visit i burst into tears because the peace and quiet was over. I knew something was up!
I think a lot of writers are introverts because it is quite a solitary thing (not counting Medium).
There is a good article here if you want to read a bit more (includes tips for extrovert writers :))
Big hugs to you - I started this response hours ago and then got interrupted by emails from the solicitor dealing with the conveyancing on the flat we are hoping to buy. Trying to stay positive. A 🤗💖😘
