I think it was the winter months of 1972 when the UK was hit by a wave of power cuts. I was at boarding school and we were not supposed to have torches. I still remember the house mistress asking us all if she could borrow our torches (the ones we weren't supposed to have). I loved it. I have always had a problem with harsh lighting and the soft glow of candles soothed me. Lovely piece, Benighted. 🙏💚
