I made this a humorous piece, but in truth my husband and I don't talk much really and I love that too. Some loves don't need words. I wrote a poem once. It's only short, and I share it here because it always feels a bit tacky to me if people suggest you go and read their other work 😊. I hope you don't mind. Your words reminded me of it:

Give me the grey
Of magma soft-flowing
Steer me away from
The flames, fire and bling

Keep your red passion
And honeymoon sin
Give me the softness
Of old love and him.
