I loved the first verse. It is such a mistake to place anyone on a pedestal. When men have tried to do it to me, i tell them i would rather be with them, under the pedestal. I must be honest (sorry it's an autism thing) and say that i disagree with you. Maybe i have been lucky in the men i have known, maybe I am wrong. I am mother to four men and I love them dearly: they are emotionally intelligent and empathetic. Let us not forget that all men had mothers: so where does the responsibility begin and end for how men are? As soon as we give ourselves a label (man/woman) we create division: them/us. I prefer to stand with the Dalai Llama and think of all of us as human beings. We are all doing the best we can with what has gone before.
In kindness,
Annie💚
