I love your writing, too, and I am sure that part of the reason for that is that you have been brave enough to write about the incredible . . .

My writing course lasted less than a week and was taught by a well-known fiction writer. I didn't expect to learn so much—I only went because I am a fan and wanted to sit in the same room as her! I felt like an imposter. Most of the people there had multiple degrees and published books to their names.

I had a great time, and you were right—Ireland is wonderful. I wore my heart on my sleeve, and I definitely want to return now. I'm even thinking I might get a DNA test to see if I have any Irish in me. I'd like that.

Now, can I ask for your advice? I feel at a crossroads. Would you recommend I take a memoir writing course? I did an online six-week one and learned a bit, but I am seriously considering applying for a longer one with ongoing support from a teacher I can contact. I learned so much in one week in Ireland, and I know I have more to learn.

I came, I wrote, I conquered. That last bit might not be true, but at least I am putting up a good fight.
