I don't think this is nonsense at all. Real life inventions tend to follow (science) fiction because it takes someone with a special kind of genius to think of something that doesn't already exist. I hope someone somewhere really does invent a Phone Breathalyser and an email one as well. I would pay big money for a Doppelganger Bot if it could go to parties instead of me. Genius I say.
