I’ve been trying to write here like a normal person for quite a while. But I’m not normal, and I am experimenting with writing exactly the way my brain thinks so you can see that I have a mental illness. And that that is OK.

Because we are all a bit weird, aren’t we? And it is what makes me me. Don’t worry, I’m not likely to stick with this for very long because I never stick with anything for very long.

I nearly died of autism when I was 25. I didn’t know I had autism then, but now that I do know, it makes perfect sense that it was autism that nearly killed me.

The symptoms all started when I was watching Coronation Street, and Alf Roberts was having a heart attack at the exact time I started to have a heart attack.

At first, I thought I was just empathising with him because that happens to me, and I quite often feel what other people are feeling, which is quite handy when you are an acupuncturist because it means that you can ask new patients NOT…
