Success is so boring: you don’t learn anything from it. Join me for another inspirational failure story and acquire important knowledge. Like, how not to do:

Hair removal

Picture this — it is the night before your wedding, and you have already spent the best part of two hours trying to remove the fake nails that were glued onto you earlier that day, only to discover that you couldn’t do ANYTHING with them attached, including getting undressed.

You had been hoping for an early night. It is already 10 pm. Just one more job: wax your legs so they are all nice and smooth for the honeymoon. What could possibly go wrong?

Tip: the day before your wedding is not a good time to try new things.

You get the pink-coloured wax strips out, apply the entire two boxes to your lower legs (all in one go) and then pluck up the courage to try and rip them off in the correct direction.

Just two problems.

  1. you are not very good at directions
  2. you shouldn’t have applied them all in one go, and you definitely shouldn’t have waited so long to pluck up the courage. i.e., do not go downstairs to…
