Hi Rebecca. I had no idea there were so many emoticons; you are so clever with them. I love the breaking-free reference (if I've got it right!).

Thank you so much for reading and leaving such a fun message. The journey from Caye Caulker to Guatemala jail cell will be revealed in the memoir. Or maybe not. Because I have just returned from a writing course and learnt that everything has to be believable. So, you have to tone it down when unbelievable things happen to you. Most of the stuff that happens to me is unbelievable. Grrr. Might as well tell you the truth now. I met two brain surgeons on Caye Caulker. They felt sorry for me that Chris had done a runner. They said they were going to Guatemala and it was cheaper there and I could probably save some money if I went with them. They were right about it being cheaper. But they forgot to mention you are supposed to get a visa in advance, and the border people don't like it if you try to just go into Guatemala without the right paperwork . . .

I came, I wrote, I conquered. That last bit might not be true, but at least I am putting up a good fight.
