My comment was very much about writing what I thought would be most helpful for the author. and under the assumption that what she wrote was true. Which I think we have to do when we read things. I'm quite willing to accept that I am wrong in my thinking, but there is a huge body of research which suggests that any fat shaming has a detrimental effect.
