I am in favour of the move away from Aspergers and towards the more simple autistic. The trouble with Aspergers is that it separated those with autism into high and low functioning that I don't think was helpful. Labels can be so divisive. I can understand why those who received the diagnosis before the change want to cling to the label, but it is not one i would feel comfortable with. I am far more in favour of spreading the word that autism in all its forms can be a superpower 😂
