Great question, Grimsby and I'll give it my best shot - there are 7 key areas that autistic people struggle with: social skills, fixations, routines, sensory issues, stimming, perception, and executive function. The circle has been split into 8 to leave space for "other" issues that don't fit into any of those categories, eg depression, anxiety, poor posture, non-verbal. It isn't so much a case of assigning a numerical value to each "issue" but rather how much of the segment you colour in based on your own experience. Someone who stims all the time would colour in the whole of the dark green segment. I don't stim very often unless I am stressed and even then, it is usually in private, so in MY circle there is very little of the dark green filled in. I have a LOT of sensory issues so the light green segment has been filled in to roughly 75%. Has that helped at all? A🙏💚

I came, I wrote, I conquered. That last bit might not be true, but at least I am putting up a good fight.
