Great advice. I especially like the one about reaching out to photographers for permission. I don't use Wikimedia Commons photos after reading about someone getting sued for one they had taken from there. It seems fraught with danger to me: It appears that anyone can post anything onto Wikimedia Commons. They don’t have to own the photograph or have anyone’s permission. So approach with caution is my advice. Better still, as you say, use your OWN photos. I have started to do that more and more, but i am, i confess, a pretty rubbish photographer.
