I suppose what I would like to understand is why Trump was so popular, especially if, as you suggest, poor Black people are more likely to vote for Democrats? Have I got that right? I'm guessing he was popular with the pro-gun people but there must be more to it than that. Is America MAINLY poor? I think of it as such a great place where anyone can achieve anything. In the UK, the class system means that if you are middle class, you are middle class regardless of income or wealth. You are kind of born into your class and there is no escape.
