Especially now i know you have been trolled for your view, i feel sorry that my response was so brief.
I have the same perspective as you.
I have 4 sons. One was car mad. Not long after passing his driving text, he went too quickly round a bend, lost control and crashed into a bus stop. Fortunately it was late and no-one was around but it could so easily have been a tragedy. He could gave killed someone. The police didn't prosecute him because he owned up and told them the truth. He said he'd been going too fast and lost control. They are so used to people lying and trying to make excuses, and were impressed with his honesty. He never did it again. But I think of it often when I hear stories like this one, and think . . There but for the grace of god . .
I heard a story on the news by accident the other day. I don't generally listen to the news but the radio was on in the car I was a passenger in. It was a really sad story about a girl who got stabbed and died after she rejected a boy on the school bus as he tried to give her flowers and a love note. All the comments and calls were about everyone feeling sorry for the parents of the girl. I found myself feeling equally sorry for the parents of the boy, now facing trial for murder. Is it just me? Would I get trolled for this view? People can be very unkind sometimes. It baffles me. A 🙏💚

I came, I wrote, I conquered. That last bit might not be true, but at least I am putting up a good fight.
