I have been overwhelmed and so very grateful for all of the kind messages of support I have received here. But it is messages like yours that make me so glad I was brave enough to hit publish. I am so very sorry that you experienced alcohol addiction and didn't feel able to share it before you hit your rock bottom. But the idea that my writing might make you feel less alone lifts my spirit beyond measure. I so hope it inspires you to share more of your story - perhaps in the sharing of it, you will touch the hearts of others in a way I haven't. The world needs more authentic stories around alcoholism.
