Congratulations on getting so close to the 100 followers mark. I'll try to answer your questions, but I am often wrong so don't take any of this as gospel 😂.

1. revenue is only linked to the amount of time people spend reading your work. The amount differs because it depends on how much OTHER work someone reads. If someone is a member and only reads your work, you will get more (% of their membership fee) than if someone reads your work but also reads 100 other articles that month (the % of their fee gets diluted).

2. i don't think you get any revenue from people reading your responses to other articles, but the response columns and your participation there are vital for getting eyes on your work and making friends. It's often where all the fun is.

3. The publication doesn't take any of your revenue and it CAN lead to more views but not necessarily. I haven't found that it makes much difference myself, but then I am not publishing in any of the more popular publications.

4. I have read that people can get more eyes on their work by going on Twitter. I tried it but didn't get on with it. Can't answer this one.

5. I am a strong believer that niches are NOT necessary. I think writing good quality articles on topics you are passionate about is a better way to go, but that is just MY experience.

Hope that is helpful. A🙏💚

I came, I wrote, I conquered. That last bit might not be true, but at least I am putting up a good fight.
