Aaah no! Hang on in there.

If you go into edit mode, and then follow these steps it should work:

Go to the end of the first line of the poem. While holding down the shift button with one hand, click on DELETE, then ENTER with your other hand.

Repeat for each line.

This only works on a PC. Get back to me if you are on an apple product and I'll see if I can figure it out for you. Do let me know how you get on.
