I remember thinking, what a genius idea when I heard a comedian recommend that if someone falls asleep in the middle of a film, you should change the movie to another one with the same actor. And let confusion reign.

I am nothing if not patient in pursuit of a story.

It has only taken me seven years to bring you this one.

I knew I was in with a chance when my husband, Roger, announced this week that he wanted to watch Sully for the first time.

In case you haven’t seen it, Tom Hanks stars in the true-life story of the pilot who has to land his damaged aeroplane on the Hudson River and then finds himself under intense scrutiny as the accident is investigated.

Roger stayed awake for the dramatic landing, but his eyelids started to flutter during the crash investigation, and he was soon snoring. Game on.
